The two-day SAT Prep Workshop is designed to prepare students for success on the redesigned 2016 SAT college-entrance examination. The SAT consists of Reading, Language and Math. The workshop will include specific techniques and strategies for the these areas. The College Board’s book The Official SAT Study Guide will be issued to students and used in the course.

Instructors for SAT Prep Workshop are all California-credentialed CVUSD educators.

Please note that there is one 15-minute break; students may wish to bring a snack for the break. Food may not be consumed in classrooms.

Designed to prepare students for the optional SAT Essay Writing test. An added benefit is that skills learned in the workshop are applicable to essay writing for college applications. Book issued. (Note: If this course is taken as part of the SAT Prep Combo (see below, only one book will be issued.)

The ACT Math Prep Workshop is designed to prepare students for success on the ACT college entrance examination. The college-readiness ACT assessment consists of four multiple-choice sections—Math, English, Reading and Science— and an optional Writing test. The workshop will provide students specific techniques, practice and strategies for the ACT Math section. An ACT math workbook will be provided and used.

Please note that there is one 15-minute break; students may wish to bring a snack for the break. Food may not be consumed in classrooms.
