COMMUNITY BASED ENGLISH TUTORING –
Tutoria para la comunidad basada en inglés

Conejo Valley Adult Education is pleased to announce the availability of classes, which will (1) assist adults in learning English, (2) provide parents with skills to help their children with school work, and (3) inform participants in regard to community resources. Classes at the various school sites meet once a week and are open to any interested adult. For additional information or assistance in another language, please call 497-4626 or 497-9511, extension 301.

Students may enroll in the class at any time during the year.

Conejo Valley Adult Education anuncia con placer la disponibilidad de clases que asistirán a adultos en aprender inglés, proveerles la habilidad para ayudar a ninos con las tareas de la escuela e informales acerca de los recursos de la comunidad.

Estas clases se llevan a cabo una vez a la semana en varias escuelas primarias de toda la comunidad y están abiertas para cualquier adulto que este interesado. Las clases se reunirán en la noche de 6:30 a 8:30 y son gratuitas. Para información llame al 497-4626 o 497-9511 ext. 301.

Basic Reading Class

This class is designed to help intermediate and Advanced students with comprehension skills. Emphasis is placed on vocabulary development; comprehension; reading in the content areas; integrating reading and writing; reference and study skills and developing a general interest in reading. Adults are provided with the basic reading skills. The ultimate goal is to help adult students acquire the competencies needed to fulfill their roles as family members, workers and community members.

ESL students must have completed Beginning High level.
