Literacy Program
.
The Literacy Program provides one-on–one tutoring for adults who need help in basic literary skills. One program is designed to meet the needs of English-as-a-second-language (ESL) students in reading comprehension, writing & spelling. A second program is designed to help English speakers with language processing difficulties, who read and spell below expected level. Tutoring is offered by trained volunteers for two hours per week, days or evenings in the Literacy Center. Please call (805) 497-2761 x1116. Registration Fee: $60 (includes books). Intermediate and Advanced classes
Tuesday and Thursday, July 1-24 (optional Burlington lab on M/W)
Mornings only (no evenings) 9:00-12:00 $100 for the four weeks.

Burlington Class - Beginning Lit, Beginning Low, Beginning High
Class with teacher Tuesday and Thursday July 1-24
Lab time Wednesday (available for all ESL students)
Mornings only (no evenings) 9:00-12:00
Students will be charged $100 for the four weeks (Headphones: $35)
Maximum- 30 students

Pre-GED Math (Basic Skills)

Monday- Thursday, July 1-24
Mornings only (no evenings) 9:00-11:00
Students will be charged $50 for the four weeks.

Registration is closed for all classes for the rest of the semester.
Registrations are continuing for Literacy students needing tutors.

Literacy Tutor Training
Learn how to help adults improve reading, writing and speaking skills. The Basic Workshop prepares you to tutor an ESL adult for 1 two-hour session per week, days or evenings on our campus.
