This class is for all levels. New projects will be presented, or you are welcome to finish up your other projects with the teachers’ help! Trudy is all about motivating you to finish. Class features a morning lecture, with time to work your own projects. Bring show & tell to the first class and your lunch.

Instructor: Trudy Smith has been quilting and teaching for over 25 years and is currently manager of the Quilter’s Studio. She has received several awards for her quilting ideas. One of her quilts has traveled to Japan and Spain. She markets a game called, “Quilto” used at quilt guilds, retreats and wherever quilters gather. She is all about inspiring you to jump into the art of quilting and having fun while you learn the required skills. Bring basic sewing supplies to the first class.

Machine Embroidery

If your machine has an embroidery module, come explore and learn a whole new world of creativity and design possibilities. Bring lunch, show and tell, and your sewing machine to the first class. Silver and Fit

Do you want to build stronger muscles and reduce body fat while having fun dancing in the New Year? Then Silver & Fit is for you. This class is designed to increase your metabolism by incorporating an exercise band and 2-lb light weights (bring your own) plus some fun dance steps. Focused on Seniors but all ages are welcome.

Qi Gong is an ancient Chinese exercise which promotes health, wellness, and balance. It also strengthens the body, mind, and soul. Qi Gong takes the ideas of mindfulness and puts them in a physical form that combines breathing and movement. Quilting with Lujean

Please scroll down for class schedule.
Learn the basic principles of quilting and expand your knowledge with new techniques and designs. Lessons include piecing, borders, quilting, binding and other finishing techniques. During the semester you will learn several original quilts and small projects. The class welcomes quilters of all levels, bring your sewing machine and your lunch.

Proposed Quilts & Supplies for 2016-17

Instructor: Lujean Seagal studied textile design and has completed over 350 quilt projects, and her work has appeared in numerous juried shows. Lujean has a B.A. in Fine Arts and full time teaching credential in adult education in textiles. She enjoys leadership in S. Cal Quilt Guilds, National Quilt association and Conejo Valley Quilters. Her experience includes instructional lectures at over 50 quilt guilds and she has created numerous pieces for individuals and corporations.
