| Employment opportunities for Pharmacy Technicians are expected to grow substantially in the next several years. Work in retail pharmacy, hospital pharmaceutical company or health maintenance organization. |

Coursework includes:
• Transcribing physician’s orders
• Correct medication packaging
• Calculating doses
• Labeling prescriptions
• Preparing IVs
• Drug distribution systems
This course provides qualifying students with a certificate of completion for Pharmacy Technician, giving eligibility to register as a Pharmacy technician in the State of California. With this certificate students are also eligible to sit for the PTCB exam ($129 test fee).
Exam prerequisites: 18 years old; GED or HS Diploma; no felony convictions.

PHARMACY TECHNICIAN Licensing:
To become a licensed /registered Pharmacy Technician you may either:
1. Pass the PTCB (National exam). Test prep included in course.
Test Fee: $129
2. Complete 160 hours externship in a Pharmacy (for eligible students). |
