To get your full Phlebotomy Certification you must pass both the Basic and Advanced portions of the program, complete a Phlebotomy Externship ($100 fee), and pass the NCCT* National Exam ($90 fee).
*NCCT stands for National Center for Competency Testing. |

| This is the first step toward your full National Phlebotomy Certification; it provides the 20 hours of beginning didactic classroom instruction required by the State of California Health Service. Attendance to all classes is mandatory. Ask about our Phlebotomy "Combo Packages." |
Coursework includes:
• Circulatory system
• OSHA regulations
• Finger puncture techniques
• Venipuncture with vacutainer
• Making blood slides
• Handling and collecting common lab specimens |

This class has been approved by the State of California Health Service to provide the minimum 20 hours of Advanced didactic classroom instruction required for Phlebotomy certification.
Upon successful completion of the Basic class, Externship and Advanced class students may be eligible to sit for the NCCT* exam to receive an National Certification ($90 test fee). Attendance to all classes is mandatory. Prerequisites: HS Diploma or GED, at least 18 years of age. |
