| Phlebotomy Technician I |
To get your full Phlebotomy Certification you must pass both the Basic and Advanced portions of the program, complete a Phlebotomy Externship ($100 fee), and pass the NCCT* exam ($90 fee).
*NCCT stands for National Center for Competency Testing. |

| This is the first step toward your full National Phlebotomy Certification; it provides the 20 hours of beginning didactic classroom instruction required by the State of California Health Service. Attendance to all classes is mandatory. |

Coursework includes:
• Circulatory system
• OSHA regulations
• finger puncture techniques
• Venipuncture with vacutainer
• Making blood slides
• handling and collecting common lab specimens |

Upon successful completion of the Basic class, Externship and Advanced class students may be eligible to sit for the NCCT* exam to receive anNational Certification ($90 test fee). Attendance to all classes is mandatory. Prerequisites: HS Diploma or GED, at least 18 years of age. |

Phlebotomy Skills
Workshop |
Would you like to brush up on your Phlebotomy Skills? Do you need more practice at blood drawing? This class is a great opportunity for you!
Enroll in our Phlebotomy Skills Workshop, once or as often as you would like. This class is offered to all eligible students who are currently enrolled in any of our Basic Phlebotomy classes OR anyone who has already completed a Basic Phlebotomy class. Classes will have limited enrollment to ensure personalized instruction.

Prerequisites: For thos not currently enrolled in a class at Conejo Valley Adult School, proof of successful completion of Basic Phlebotomy is required.
