Loredana Carson has been part of the CVAE community since 1996, when she began teaching English as a Second language and selling Corporate Training. While initially she focused on requests for English teachers in the community she expanded to selling computer training to local businesses. She also assisted the administration with whatever tasks were needed filling the role of the Special Projects Coordinator for many years. She served on an all-county task force and worked with other adult educators to coordinate the efforts of each school and to clarify goals and purposes of adult education.
Together with her work colleague Christina Alwood, Loredana brought the concept of Job Fairs to the campus and for many years coordinated these bi-annual community events which provided many students and community members with employment opportunities. Since 2004 she has served as co-coordinator of the Community Service department with Christina Alwood. Together they have brought over 13,000 separate enrollments to CVAE.
Currently, Loredana spearheads CVAE's Bridge-to-Your-Future Program, designed to help students with a smooth transition to community college and vocational training programs.
